Our Mission

We are a grass-roots organization working in our local community to see every child flourishing. We work with local organizations and our school district to create sustainable and equitable programs that allow all children to flourish where they are.

Our initiatives center around provision. We currently offer several food programs designed to support kids and keep them energized to be able to do their best in their academics and sports. We operate the Vine Street Market at the high school, Grab-and-Go Brain Fuel at the middle school, and several snacks programs at the elementary schools.

We partner with the school district to supply school supplies as well as other “as necessary” items through the year.

We are also working to sponsor several day-long character-building retreats for the middle school that will inspire the students to live lives of courageous kindness, and grow in self-awareness, empathy, and relational connectedness.

Please contact us if you would like to hear more about what we do and how you might be able to help.

May the Spring 2019 bring new joys and hope!

Happy Kids Network

The Happy Kids Network and The Vine Street Market, alongside the School District of Wisconsin Dells, are working together to determine the best way to help our community during this extraordinary time.

The Vine Street Market intends to be open as much as possible throughout the school closing, to be of service to our community. Knowing that, there are 3 key ways that you, as our fellow community members, can help us.

First, we invite you to help us with either your time or money contributions. We will need additional healthy volunteers to remain open for extended hours, we will need additional financial resources to help our community. Second Harvest of Southern Wisconsin, our strategic partner, is committed to providing food to areas like ours, however, the VSM will need additional funds to purchase the necessary food from them.
Donations can be mailed directly to PO Box 781 Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965.

Secondly, we know that having Spring Break visitors, conventions, and sporting events canceled may result in your business having surplus food that can be utilized by our local families. If that is the case, please contact HKN to help facilitate that effort.

Finally, HKN and the Vine Street Market are here to serve our kids and families on a daily basis. Please spread the word that we are here to help. The Market is open to our entire community, without exception, and if you can’t get to us, we are committed to finding a way to help get the food to you.

We are here to help. As we usually do, we will have a variety of nutritional food for you and your family. And with the help of this incredibly giving community, we are taking steps to ensure that this situation is not more stressful than it needs to be.
